WIN: Wellbeing and Interactivity Nexus Lab
WIN Lab stands at the crossroads of multimedia and human processes, focusing on the intersection of basic and applied psychology with interaction design and artificial intelligence. It explores how multimedia environments, ranging from digital to physical realms, influence and can be harnessed for human cognition, emotion, and behavior. This research lab's work is geared towards creating and scientifically validating meaningful multimedia applications with therapeutic, social, and cultural applications. The developmental framework of WIN Lab focuses on the lifelong impact of multimedia on human cognition, emotion, and behavior. It integrates psychological development with interaction design and artificial intelligence to understand how different stages of life interact with and are influenced by various multimedia formats. This approach is key to exploring the effects of multimedia on learning, emotional regulation, social skills development, and cognition functioning promotion. By examining these interactions, it aims to create multimedia applications that support healthy psychological growth and well-being throughout an individual's life, providing insights into the evolving relationship between humans and multimedia environments.
