Andreia Alexandra Gil Manão Alves Ribeiro

Andreia A. Manão is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre (LU-LUC). Over the past few years, she has received three awards from international and national associations, including the International Academy of Sex Research and the International Society for Sexual Medicine. Additionally, she has obtained three research fellowships on scientific projects and a PhD scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (Portugal). Manão teaches undergraduate psychology and the transdisciplinary master's program in sexology at LU-LUC. She is also a junior researcher at the HEI-Lab (Human-environment Interaction Lab). Currently, she is training to become a clinical psychologist and clinical sexologist through the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology, and has an advanced qualification in working with LGBTQIA+ people. She has authored scientific papers and contributed to a book chapter, employing both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Manão is a member of several respected organizations, including the International Academy of Sex Research, the International Society for Sexual Medicine, the Portuguese Association of Behavior Therapy, and the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology.
