Hannah Klinkhammer: Visiting Researcher at HEI-Lab

ENG
HEI-Lab (Porto) is pleased to welcome researcher Hannah Klinkhammer between September 15 and 19, 2025, within the scope of the Portugal-Germany Bilateral Cooperation Project 2024 – joint call entitled “Analysis of the etiology of mental disorders through statistical learning” (ref. 2024.07388.CBM). The project started on July 31, 2025, and has a duration of two years. Below we share her photograph and biographical note, so everyone can recognise her and, who knows, inspire future collaborations!
Hannah Klinkhammer
Visiting Researcher Germany | 15 - 19 September 2025
Hannah Klinkhammer holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Bonn (Germany) and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute for Medical Biometry and Statistics at Marburg University (Germany).
Her research focuses on developing advanced statistical prediction models for biomedical data. Particularly, she works on large-scale genomic data and algorithms for polygenic scores, capturing the individual genetic predisposition to complex traits. Furthermore, she develops targeted statistical approaches to evaluate artificial intelligence outputs and gain new insights from facial analysis tasks. She has collaborated in a large number of interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of medicine, genetics and statistics. During her stay at HEI-Lab, she will work within the scope of the collaborative project Investigating the aetiology of mental disorders via statistical learning“. She will use advanced statistical learning approaches to uncover new insights about the role of co-regulation in mental health disorders.
