PhD Student Visits International Lab Under SRIP Scholarship

Ana Morais, PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Lusófona University completed a one-week research stay at the University of Pavia, Italy, under the SRIP Mentorship Programme, focusing on perinatal mental health and mother-infant interaction.

Ana Morais, PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Lusófona University, has been selected as the recipient of the SRIP Mentorship Programme Scholarship 2024, a mentorship scholarship that supports short-term research exchanges in leading international institutions. As part of this international mobility initiative, Ana completed a one-week research stay at the University of Pavia, Italy, between June 23rd and 27th, 2025. 

The visit was hosted by her mentor, Professor Livio Provenzi, at the Department of Brain and Behavioral Sciences. Ana participated in a series of training and collaborative activities focused on perinatal mental health, mother-infant interaction, and neurophysiological synchrony. Her work included hands-on training in EEG hyperscanning, behavioral coding using the Global Rating Scales (GRS), and literature review on video-feedback interventions to support parenting in mothers with postpartum symptomatology.

This international mobility reinforced methodological skills, opened new opportunities for joint publications, and fostered future collaborations with the Italian research team.

Estudante de Doutoramento realiza estágio de investigação internacional com bolsa SRIP

Ana Morais, estudante de Doutoramento em Psicologia Clínica na Universidade Lusófona, completou uma estadia de investigação de uma semana na Universidade de Pavia, Itália, no âmbito do Programa de Mentoria SRIP 2024, que apoia intercâmbios de curta duração em instituições internacionais de excelência.

A visita decorreu entre 23 e 27 de junho de 2025 e foi orientada pelo Professor Livio Provenzi, no Departamento de Ciências do Cérebro e Comportamento. Ana participou numa série de atividades de formação e colaboração centradas na saúde mental perinatal, interação mãe-bebé e sincronia neurofisiológica. O trabalho incluiu treino prático em EEG hyperscanning, codificação comportamental com as Global Rating Scales (GRS) e revisão bibliográfica sobre intervenções por video-feedback para apoiar mães com sintomatologia pós-parto.

Esta mobilidade internacional permitiu reforçar competências metodológicas, abriu portas para futuras publicações conjuntas e potenciou colaborações com a equipa de investigação italiana.
