HEI-Lab researchers present Perinatal Mental Health Research at SNIP 2025

PhD Students in Clinical Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioural Orientation, from Lusófona University Present Studies on Perinatal Mental Health at SNIP 2025

Daniela Fidalgo, Daniela Tavares, and Matilde Sousa, PhD students in Clinical Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioural Orientation at Lusófona University, took part in the National Symposium of Psychology Research (SNIP) 2025, held from 28 to 30 May at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto.

The students presented their research on perinatal mental health. They addressed topics such as prenatal parental reflective functioning, perinatal symptoms of anxiety and depression, post-traumatic stress disorder related to childbirth, and the impact of these symptoms on child development.

Their work is part of the INTERSECT Portugal project and highlights the importance of policies that promote the psychological well-being of mothers, fathers and babies during the perinatal period.
