PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Educational Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Lisbon and the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Coimbra. She also completed a master's degree in Social and Organizational Psychology from the Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa (ISCTE), Lisbon, Portugal, and a degree in Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon. As a university lecturer, she teaches courses in Educational Psychology, Development, Learning, Human Behaviour and Psychometrics at both undergraduate and masters level. She also supervises master's and doctoral theses. Licensed psychologist, a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists' Association (No. 6707), with specializations in Clinical and Health Psychology as well as Educational Psychology. Her research focuses on motivation regulation, self-regulated learning, the construction and validation of psychological assessment instruments, cyberbullying, and academic engagement and dropout in higher education.Coordinates the Mentoring Programme at the School of Psychology and Life Sciences (Universidade Lusófona). Member of the Hei-Lab - Digital Human-Environment Interaction Labs at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, and the Centre for Research in Psychological Science (CICPSI) at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon. She has authored several national and international publications in her fields of expertise.
