Andreia Geraldo

Andreia Geraldo has a PhD in Psychology, specifically in Cognitive and Affective Neurosciences, from the University of Porto since 2024 (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences). Her master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology was completed in 2014 at the same institution. Andreia is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona, Centro Universitário do Porto, in the field of Clinical Neuropsychologist, a researcher at HEI-Lab, and a Clinical Neuropsychologist in private institutions. Has received three research grants and an award for best oral communication. Andreia is a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology by the Portuguese Psychologists Association and a member of the Portuguese Society of Neuropsychology and the American Psychological Society. Integrated the COST Action 16207 about the problematic usage of the internet (PUI) and is a member of the Net and Me + BootStRaP (Boosting societal adaptation and mental health in a rapidly digitalizing, post-pandemic Europe) Early Career Network and of the Rede Académica em Ciências da Saúde da Lusofonia. Authored papers and book chapters in the cognitive and affective neurosciences field, with her current interests being the use of new digital technologies in (neuro)psychological services and the cognitive processes underlying behavioral addictions (problematic and pathological gambling and gaming, and excessive use of the internet and social networks).
