Aimed to create impact and change outside academia, regardless of other actions such as dissemination, communications, citations, and other traditional initiatives of disclosing academic activities and results.
HEI-Lab will fund up to 10 (2/year) 24 month projects, with a budget of 10,000 euros each. These projects will focus on research actions leading to tangible social improvements and/or to results from where further research can be developed aiming for the benefit of society. Evaluation will be conducted through case studies, alternative metrics (social media), productive interactions (based on the relationship that researchers establish with all stakeholders/ actors involved in the process leading to social impact), interviews, and assessment reports (reflecting the state of research and knowledge available to society the language used should be understandable outside the scientific community).
