Scientific overview and framework within the HEI-Lab mission:
The aim is to analyze perinatal intimate partner violence impact on mother’s neurophysiological correlates of parental reflective functioning(PRF) during dyadic interaction. 180 mothers at 2 months postpartum will complete measures and neurophysiological correlates of PRF will be assessed. The project contributes to the HEI-Lab’s mission and goals by (1) using a multidisciplinary approach to expand psychological science’s interconnections with other research fields; and (2) providing cutting-edge data to evidence-based practices into cognitive-behavioral clinical practice. It is aligned with the labs’ missions (1) Human Development & Relationships Lab, that examines how primary relationships (e.g.parent-child) relate to developmental pathways and risk/protection on human adaptation, (2) Human Cognition & Behavior Lab, that examines the cognitive processes underlying behavior, and (3)Psychopathology & Human Change Lab, focused the emergence of psychopathology in multiple life contexts.
