He is currently investigating parallelization strategies and statistically accurate replication of agent-based models, as well as stochastic optimization algorithms. Nuno also researches good practices in the teaching of computer science topics to Videogames development students. He completed his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from IST in 2005, and went on to pursue a master degree (M.Sc.) in the same institute on the topic of immune system simulation, from which he graduated in 2008. During this period Nuno was a teaching assistant at IST, lecturing subjects such as Programming, Digital Systems, Microprocessors or Computer Architectures. He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in 2016 (IST), entitled “Agent-Based Modeling on High Performance Computing Architectures”, for which he was awarded the maximum grade “Pass with Distinction and Honour”. After a year as a postdoctoral researcher at LaSEEB/ISR, Nuno moved to his current position at HEI-Lab/ULHT
