Hei-Lab researchers Micaela Fonseca and Filipe Luz have been granted with scholarships from Santander IE Foundation to enroll in the course “THE NEW ROLE OF THE EDUCATOR: BEST PRACTICES IN ONLINE EDUCATION”.
Hei_Lab researcher Nuno Fachada will be funding by the IEEE CIS Competition Subcommittee for the “ColoursShapesLinks” competition, to organize a gamebased learning AI workshop. The competition is an outcome from the Artificial Intelligence subject, which is part of the Videogames Ba curricula. The success among students, as well as the incremental challenges posed by the project, led to it being proposed as a competition at IEEE CoG 2020, with the proposal being accepted by the organizing committee.

Leonor Pereira da Costa concluded the PhD in Psychology at the Center for Research and Social Intervention of ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, with a thesis titled “Navigating social class in childhood: Development of Intergroup relations and Self-Categorization”. Leonor completed her degree in Psychology in the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto and completed her master’s degree in Data Mining and Data Analysis at ISCTE. Currently she is Assistant Professor at LusófonaUniversity, in the School of Psychology and Life Sciences. She also developed her work as an Applied Research Assistant at the ResearchCenter of Public Opinion of the Catholic University of Portugal, where she collaborated in numerous national and international research projects. Her interests are focused on intergroup relations and behaviors of inclusion and social exclusion in childhood, with special focus on social inequalities related to children’s socioeconomic status
Ágata Salvador concluded her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon”. She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Coimbra). She is an Assistant Professor and vice-coordinator of the Computational Psychology Laboratory at the School of Psychology and Life Sciences, Lusófona University. Ágata is a researcher at Lusófona University, HEI-Lab – Digital Human-Environment Interaction Lab, and her main research interests are related to pediatric health conditions, parental adaptation, family-centered care, and digital applications designed for the intervention in the context of health conditions.

Ana Loureiro is assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona and a researcher at HEI-Lab. She is also a member and past president of the Ethics and Deontology Commission for Scientific Research of the School of Psychology and Life Sciences of the Lusófona University. She holds a PhD in Social and Environmental Psychology by ISCTE-IUL. Her academic degrees also include a MsC in Psychology and Environmental Education from ISPA, with a dissertation about sustainable tourism in the Natural Park of Montesinho, and a degree in Psychology from Lisbon University. Her research is focused on human experience of natural and urban environments, and environmental behaviour sociopsychological determinants. She collaborates in projects aimed to intervene in the community, using different methodologies such as co-creation and stakeholder’s engagement, and coordinates the Conscious Consumer Observatory. She is currently a board member of PSICAMB – Associación de Psicología Ambiental.
