Internationalization of research is standard in our team. Many members collaborate in international research projects, including open science initiatives (https://osf.io/2rm5b/).
Publication strategies focus on international scientific outlets, and team members also contribute as reviewers in all their respective fields of psychology and design, as associate editors (e.g., Journal of Sexual Medicine) and members of editorial boards (e.g. Cyberpsychology, Behaviour and Social Networks; Journal of Traumatic Stress; Journal of Psychopathology and Behavioral Assessment), international reviewers for research project (e.g., Australian Endeavour Research Fellowship; Flanders Research Foundation; Polish Science Foundation, EU FP20 S3C), and members of the executive boards of international scientific associations (e.g. iACTor, ISVR, PSICAMB).).
Members of our team have in the past secured a total of eur615k from FCT and other Portuguese national agencies, eur500k from EU funding (idem), and eur100k from other international funding bodies.
Some members belong to the Northern Regional Executive board of the Portuguese Psychological Association and the Scientific-Educational Council of Education of the Portuguese Ministry of Education.
We have organized several local scientific meetings and conferences for practitioners. Labpsicom organized the international conference REHAB ( http://www.rehab-workshop.org/) yearly 2014-2016, the International Conference on Eye Tracking, Visual Cognition and Emotion, in 2013.
We are now organizing the 13th International Conference on Disability, Virtual Reality & Associated Technologies, which will be held in Serpa, Portugal ∼ September 9-11, 2020. http://icdvrat2020.ulusofona.pt/
