With the mission to promote interdisciplinary knowledge,MovLab (Laboratory of Interfaces and Interactions) develop interventions to Life Sciences (human cinematic studies for Biomechanics and Health) and to Entertainment (Animation, Film and Game Dev).
To collect cinematic data, MovLab has a Vicon Mocap System, AMTI Force Platform, RScan pressure plates, Biosignals devises and software as Vicon IQ, Blade, Nexus, Autodesk Motion Builder.
To interact with the information collected, is equipped with VR Oculus Rift, Gear VR, Autodesk Maya, 3ds max, Adobe CS and Avid Media Composer.
MovLab has strong experience in movement research for health and education, due to their expertise in cross areas of interests (Biomechanics, Physiotherapy, Sports, Programming, Data Bases, Animation, Film and Games) and to the practice expanded on several R&D projects.
Is an integrated laboratory at the School of Psychology and Life Sciences (ULHT), being a resource of the Hei-Lab / ULHT R & D Unit. The R & D activities developed using this laboratory are based on the use of Information Technology applications in the area of Psychology, focusing on the mHealth area.
The Laboratory of Experimental Psychology (LabPsiExp) is part of Labpsicom, and is usually the place where laboratory psychological evaluations are carried out in the studies taking place inSchool of Psychology and Life Sciences or in Hei-Lab.
LabPsiExp consists of 4 sound-proofed rooms with light and temperature control, which meet the ideal conditions for psychological testing. This laboratory has psychophysiological and behavioral measures that allow a complete evaluation of various psychological phenomena.
DELLI – Design research
The DELLI Research Haus fosters new knowledge and innovative practice, products and environments through a transdisciplinary and metasystemic design research approach.
We developed a new metasystem design model in a field at the intersection of education, research and industry – the DELLI Metasystem model ®.
The scientific basis of our applied research model takes place in the non-spaces and the no-boundaries transitions between different knowledge areas: Design and the Arts, psychology, neuroscience, technology, management and leadership.
It aims to:
- build a transdisciplinary design research capability and community
- undertake transdisciplinary applied research and produce innovative knowledge
- transfer the new knowledge into the organizations and its leaders
- become internationally renowned for developing a metasystemic transdisciplinary research and expertise to enlarge the intervention scope of Design and Designers in Society nowadays
DELLI researchers partner locally and globally with education institutions, governments, industries, practices and the community.
The DELLI research Haus focuses on five main research programs: design for education; design for creative industries; design for health & wellbeing (HEI-LAB); design for economic value and design leadership.
Under the umbrella of DELLI research Haus, other research initiatives coexist: Design & Pandemomium Magazine, innovation by Design advanced Master programs (online and Blended); In-house innovation training short courses and advanced research seminars.
